About the Organization
Forest Focus
is a forestry dedicated organization aiming at reconstruction and reformation of different forest levels and improvement of livelihood in rural communities of East Africa. The organization was founded in 2020 following the increasing poverty level and its association with environmental degradation among most of the rural communities of Tanzania, especially the coastal belt. We are driven by a philosophy that for humanity and prosperity to excel forests of different sorts should well be managed and protected. The motive behind PSP is carried by a finding that wherever extreme poverty is observed environmental destruction specifically deforestation shoots to unbearable rates. Researchers in the region conclude that extreme poverty and hunger have ignited notable ecological damage in this larger portion of the 23rd Word biodiversity hotspot. Therefore, to achieve proper restoration and conservation under Forest Focus poverty and deforestation are addressed simultaneously.
